Working for Care and Repair for 14 years, with the past 4 years being a dedicated caseworker for those living with Dementia, I have helped many to remain living independently in their homes where they feel warm, safe and secure, whether it be by simply installing a grab rail or changing a washer on a tap, to repairing a leaking roof or installing a new boiler. The money I raise will be put into a hardship fund for the elderly and vulnerable in Cwm Taf, which covers Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taf, with a percentage being given to the Dementia Friendly Community Funds in the area.
