We campaign to end men's violence against women

Story

Sarah’s Story;

Sarah's life was brutally taken in February 2019 by her ex-boyfriend, who was convicted in July 2019.

Sarah was the kindest and most giving friend and gave so much to others. She was a loving daughter to her parents and a loyal friend and was loved by her family members and by her friends. Sarah loved life, she was literally the life and soul of any party and I can still hear her laugh now.

Sarah experienced a significant degree of coercive control in her relationship and we had not realised the extent of the risk her ex boyfriend posed to her. She was one of the most charitable friends I knew and she would be so proud of what her family and friends are doing to raise awareness into Domestic Abuse. Her parents are keen that money raised in Sarah's name goes towards making a difference for others and raising awareness into all forms of violence against girls and women

Sarah was just 40 years old when she lost her life and throughout 2020 I ran 40 miles every month in her memory.

During 2021 I ran a half marathon every month, it was hard going but I had Sarah in my mind every mile, especially the hard miles.

In 2022 I was training for a full marathon but this did not happen following a fall whilst on holiday.

2023, I am running 10km every Sunday in order to build up my strength and speed to improve my half marathon time. Every step of the way I have Sarah with me, she is my inspiration and I miss her dearly.🧡
