Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
After my uncle sadly passed away in November and having had several friends diagnosed with cancer recently, I wanted to do something to raise money to help fight this dreadful disease and to show my support to those still fighting hard against it....but what could I do??
In a moment of madness I thought of how ironic it was that for a lot of people with Cancer one of their worst fears is losing their hair through treatment yet for me one of my worst nightmares is letting my hair grow. So the idea was born.
For many years I've kept my hair short, and when you see the photo of me at a very young age you can see why. Think the sixth member of The Jacksons, Leo Sayer, Barbara Dickson!
So..... I'm leaving my hair to grow until my birthday at the end of March. Despite comments from some of those very close to me that I'll never manage it, I'm determined to see this through no matter how awful it looks!
