Story

Juliet and Alan celebrated our engagement by running together in the British 10k Run on 11th July 2010 to help provide milk to babies in Eritrea.  ERA-UK plan to send tried-and-tested Cow & Gate baby milk powder to mothers in Eritrea, many of whom are infected by HIV and unable to feed their young babies without their help and your support.

Since then the baby was born on 30th October 2010 @ 4:42 am, weighing 7 lbs 6.5 ozs.  For some pics of the race AND the baby, follow the link...

Juliet was 25 weeks pregnant when she ran the race in a time just over 50 minutes . We actually ran 1/3 km more than 10k because we had to weave round slower runners.  Also, we had to wait 10 minutes after the gun before we got over the start line, and so Juliet had to stop after 1km to go for a wee.  Otherwise, I am sure we would have been around 47 or 48 minutes.

The good thing is we finished together - and yes I managed to keep up at the end despite the blistering pace Juliet finished.  I suspect it was that jelly baby I grabbed from a spectator that helped.  At least I can claim that I also had a "baby" on board! :D

Anyway, thanks for all who have given their support in so many ways. It's not too late if you haven't donated already.
