I am raising money for St Dunstans, which probably not everyone has heard of but is an extremely worthwhile cause and one that does a tremendous job.
About St Dunstans - Supporting blind ex-Service men and women
For almost a century, St Dunstan’s has been giving invaluable physical and emotional support to blind and visually impaired ex-Service men and women. With the help of their unique expertise, experience and comprehensive range of services, they enable them to lead independent fulfilling lives.
Life Partners - This charity is there for "St Dunstaners" for as long as they are needed, helping them adjust to their loss of sight and learn new skills – and their support lasts a lifetime. In addition to the ex-servicemen and women, St Dunstans helps families too, as they adjust to their changing needs.
They help "St Dunstaners" become self-sufficient, regain their optimism and make the most of opportunities. On a practical level, their services include: Rehabilitation / Teaching New Skills / Resolving Housing Issues / Help with benefit claims / access to sporting facilities and social activities / and a sense of belonging to the St Dunstan’s family
