In light of what we have been learning about so far this term and especially with the upcoming COP26, we feel it's important to do a fundraiser for A Rocha, a charity that is focused on environmental care.

We have chosen A Rocha which is a Christian nature conservation organisation that conducts projects worldwide; focusing on community engagement, practical conservation, environmental education, and community engagement. It also provides a forum for understanding the relevance of the Christian faith to environmental issues. A Rocha carries out international projects like ''Farming For the Future'' in Kenya, Uganda, and Peru which provides communities with practical sustainable farming techniques that are better for people and the planet.

COP26 is the 26th year that governments, NGOs, trade unions and businesses meet to review and negotiate global action. It is a key moment for global leaders to ramp up their commitments to meet climate action targets. This year they are meeting in Glasgow for what is a turning point in climate action to commit to containing global warming to below 1.5 degrees.

Collectively, we will be walking the 440 miles that it takes to get from Exeter to Glasgow where COP26 will be held, to raise money for A Rocha. Our route will take us from Exeter Quay to Dawlish Warren and along the way will stop to pray for COP26. If you would like to do a shorter route, you can get the train from Exeter to Star Cross and walk with us from there.

We are so excited to be walking together as a community, praying throughout and taking a stand in support of A Rocha and all the amazing work they do. Wear green, bring your banners and all your pals- its gonna be so much funx
