Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In random conversations with fellow participant Bren, we were looking for a challenging and interesting canoe trip, and from a blog on the Song Of The Paddle forum, picked up on the Tiber Descent. It's a seven day trip, covering over 150km, and sounded ideal. 

Bren has done a number of trips raising money for good causes, so I figured I'd see if I could do likewise.

The target figure I have set myself to raise is a long term objective, not just for this trip, and it has some bearing on a new canoe for the Descent. NOT to cover the cost, but more by way of self justification, that in spending an amount on the canoe, the least I can do is raise/donate equal-ish value for a good 'outdoorsy' cause. 

So as well as any funds raised through this JustGiving fundraiser, I will be donating 50p for every mile I paddle on the Tiber, and 25p for every mile thereafter I ever paddle in the new canoe, at least until such time as I've raised/donated the initial kerching cost.
