Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Everyone knows or is close to someone who has had Breast Cancer... it affects many women today. Lets try to make a difference!
My Mother had Breast Cancer 8yrs ago, she was one of the lucky ones who had early treatment and got through it.If Pat and I achieve this we will be able to help others.
Update:
March - Really pleased and grateful with the donations so far. Have made Heart-shaped Biscuits for Valentines Day, Welsh Cakes for St Davids Day and Cakes for St Patricks Day, which I sold at work.
Still training every weekend with my two sisters, walked 11miles, the furthest so far. Long way to go yet, so will keep training. Need to find some steps, very flat in Suffolk!
September - 5 weeks to go!!
Now walking about 12 miles every week.
We had a circuit training session, organised by my Nephew Daniel, who is a qualified instructor... took 4 days to get over, not doing that again in a hurry!
9th Sept - We are off to climb Scafel Pike to get some more training in, decided it is too flat around Suffolk! My other sister is joining us, who has climbed earlier in the year and quite confidently tells us, it is going to be hard!!
9th sept
We well climbed Scafell Pike in Cumbria & probably chose the worse day we could! Weather was appalling, but it was very challenging against the wind, sleet & driving rain!! At one point my other sister wanted to give up, but after 2hrs of walking, there was no way, so we battled on and made it to the top. Only problem it was so foggy you could not see anything!! But it definately gave us some idea of height & steps. Not sure if I want to to that one again.
October 2011
Well we completed the Trek & what a fantastic experience it was. sometimes, no words could describe the scenery! At times it was breathtaking, but very challenging. It also gives you a sense of how lucky we are to be taking part in one of the wonders of the world. The culture & people are so different to what we are used to, but this all makes it more intriging.
