Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am over the moon to have been offered a place to run the London Marathon in 2019 to raise much needed funds for ellenor. I know this is a cause that means so much to my friends, family and the local community and look forward to raising as much as possible for them.

To say that this will be a challenge for me is an understatement. I am virtually starting from scratch with my training - with the furthest I have ever run being 10k! I’m sure there will be highs and lows and probably a few tears along the way, but I am determined to do this in aid of an incredibly worthy cause.

When the marathon is over, rest I shall not! I will then begin training for my next challenge, the Great Wall of China trek in October. Those who know me well know that walking isn’t my favourite thing to do. When I was 6 I demanded a pushchair on a family trip to Florida because walking was so ‘boring’ #brat! The trek will span over 5 days and I’ll be walking for approximately 7 hours a day. I’ll be with an incredible group of 14 people who are taking this on to raise a significant amount for ellenor.

Thank you so much to everyone who kindly supports me with my fundraising, you are making a huge difference to the lives of families facing the unimaginable.
