Fundraising for Marie Curie
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Sadly in November of 2009
my lovely, loving gentleman of a Dad passed away from cancer of the spine and
oesophagus. In order to celebrate
his life, challenge mine and to say Thank You to the Marie Curie nurses who
supported us, I have signed up for an 8 day trek from Mount Nebo to Petra in
Jordan. I will be doing this trek from 30th October to 6th November 2010 which will be exactly a
year from when I was privileged to be able to help care for my Dad during the
last few weeks of his life.We are requested to raise a
minimum of £2,500 of sponsorship. I do not however feel that the sponsor money
should pay for my ‘holiday’ and so I will be paying the first £1000 myself. In
that way all of the sponsorship money donated will go to Marie Curie to
enable them to support families like ours and if I can raise more than £1,500
that will be amazing.
