"I am an Obstetrics and Gynaecology Consultant at the Jersey General Hospital and have a special interest for caring for all women and families who have gynaecological cancers. Some women and families need care at the Jersey Hospice for symptom control, respite therapy and end of life care. We have a dedicated team of healthcare professionals at the Hospice making women's care individualised and holistic, and without their support we wouldn't be able to offer this.

I am hoping to complete Ironman Portugal on 15th October 2022.A triathlon of 3.8 km swim in the sea, 180 km cycle up into the Sintra mountains and around centre of Lisbon and then to run a marathon of 42.2 km. All to be completed in 17 hours. I know there will be much pain throughout training for the event and the actual race but this will be nothing compared to the amount of pain these women and their families go through. I hope to raise awareness of the facilities the Hospice have to offer and hope to raise money to be able to continue this excellent service."

Jersey Hospice Care is a specialist palliative care service and the island’s only hospice, providing holistic care for patients with any life limiting condition. Jersey Hospice Care is an independent charity and makes no charge to patients. It costs over £20,000 a day to run the charity’s services.
