Hello & thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Sat 4^th September I am taking part in the Vitruvian triathlon; 1.9km swim, 84km bike topped off with a half marathon, only 19 weeks after having our baby, Annabelle.

I am taking part in this crazy challenge to raise money for the Acorns Hospice, in and in memory of our friend’s baby Rocco.  On the 7^th July, at only 9 weeks old, Rocco Pioli, the very special son of our new, but great friends Max and Harriet, passed away at Acorns.  Max and Harriet have both said that the staff and facilities at Acorns were amazing and without them this unimaginable time would have been even worse.

Established in 1988, Acorns Children's Hospice Trust is a registered charity offering a network of care for life limited and life threatened children and young people, and their families, across the heart of .  These children and young people are not expected to reach adulthood and require specialist care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Acorns is currently supporting nearly 600 children and 800 families, including those who are bereaved.

Acorns is the only organisation that provides this level of care to these vulnerable youngsters whilst offering a range of  support services to the whole family to help them cope at every stage of their child's life and beyond into bereavement.

Acorns relies on donations so please give as much as you can to ensure it can keep providing their amazing support to many other families

My main target is to finish but I would really love to finish sub 6hrs 30mins.  The race starts at 5.30am so if you are in the Rutland Water area at that time it would be great to see you!
