We fight for the hope of young people to create a society built for all children

Story

In 2009 I ran the London Marathon with my two lovely friends Emma and Clare and after vowing never to do it again, we have decided to do it one last time in loving memory of Clare’s Mummy – Marie Goldie.

In March 2010 Clare lost her Mummy to cancer. Marie dedicated her life to children working at the Rainbow Nursery in Exmouth and for this reason, we are running for The Children’s Society – a charity we believe would be close to her heart.

Your support two years ago was totally overwhelming and it would mean the world to me/us if you could support me one last time. Reading your lovely messages on my JustGiving page and seeing your faces on the sideline helped me through the toughest 5 hours of my life and I don’t think I can do it again without you.

Together we need to raise £3,500 and any donation would be much appreciated.

All my/our love,

Katie (and Clare) x

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

About the charity

We are a national charity working to transform the hopes and happiness of young people facing abuse, exploitation and neglect. We support them through their most serious life challenges and we campaign tirelessly for the big social changes that will improve the lives of those who need hope most.
