Story

Midlands Orphanage in Zimbabwe provides shelter and food for approximately 62 children, ranging from toddlers to teenagers. These children would otherwise be on the streets and homeless. Some of the children are mentally and physically challenged and are unable to attend school, however those that can and are of a school age do attend the local schools in the area to better their chances for the future. The Orphanage relies solely on donations to support itself.  If you would like to make a donation to the Midlands Orphanage to contribute towards the cost of food, clothing and general maintenance please follow the directions on this page.  On average it costs just £20 a month to feed an orphaned child in Zimbabwe.

My thanks and appreciation for your help and support to this worthwhile cause.

Please note: my fundraising will go via the ALERT UK Registered Charity (No. 1120572), who not only work on wildlife conservation but on all sectors of society. All monies raised will go directly to the Midlands Orphanage via the ALERT Communities Trust (ACT).  ACT has been set up to aid many humanitarian projects, including the Midlands Orphanage, to assist with vulnerable and orphaned children, people living with HIV, the elderly and the destitute.
