Fundraising for Variety the Children's Charity of Jersey
Story
The employees of Omega have pledged to raise at least £1,000 collectively in 50 days for:
“Variety: The Children’s Charity of Jersey – 50k in 50 Days Challenge”
Variety Jersey are looking for 50 local businesses to help raise £50,000 in 50 days.
In 2017, the total requests Variety Jersey received were from 357 families with 732 children amounting to £50,333.70.
Many of the requests are for help with basic needs such as food, uniforms, shoes and baby equipment, as well as requests to provide specialist equipment for disabled children.
We have also decided that it’s time to get into shape! So why not combine the two? And there we have it:
The Omega Slimathon Challenge!
A challenge whereby we see which employee can lose the most weight! Undertaking fundraising events to help them achieve both weight loss and sponsorship!
As a group, one of our fundraisers is a 20km sponsored walk to raise funds for this very worthwhile local charity.
Any sponsorship received will go directly to the charity to help local disadvantaged children have equal opportunities!
