The National Animal Welfare Trust cares for and rehomes over 1300 animals a year, from cats and dogs to smalls and sheep! Active in all the communities it serves, the Trust has 5 rescue centres in the south of the UK, supported entirely by the generosity of the animal-loving public.

Story

Kev loved animals, particularly his three boys, the cats: Bailey, Earl and Simba; and of course, lest we forget those that trod before. Kev himself chose Earl's name, because he is grey. Now I'll give you a minute. Yep...Earl Grey. Impressed? That's the kind of wit we will miss about Kev ;-)  His close affinity with animals was the reason why his family chose to raise money in his name for an animal charity. Kevin never appreciated flowers that weren't in a garden (just ask Wendy who rarely received a bunch of flowers from him throughout their time together). As such, his family decided that instead of flowers, he would rather people donate the money to a good cause. Now Kev never went in for big charities - he always supported the underdog - so his family picked a charity that receives no government funding and relies entirely upon donations; a little known charity if you will. In his name donations will be used to provide treats, food, bedding etc for those animals waiting to find homes. What better way to spend your hard money? Kev appreciated the value of the pound and as such the family see no more fitting way than to ensure that every penny is put to good use. We believe this charity will do just that and we hope you agree.
