Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit this JustGiving page in memory Kevin Hesketh, who sadly passed away on 18 November 2009, aged 66.
Dad fought against pancreatic cancer for almost two years. The last days of his life were very peaceful thanks to the wonderful people and the care that he recevied at St Ann's Hopsice in Cheadle. Neither Mum, Marie, Debbie nor myself can thank the team at St Ann's enough, not only for what they did for Dad but also for the way that they looked after us. Hopefully the money that we can raise will go some way towards acknowledging their brilliant work. Their care is provided free of charge with the NHS contributing only 35% of their annual £9 million running costs. For the remaining £6 million, they rely on the generosity of the public - that is more than £16,000 per day!
I would like to raise £2,416.20. The amount may seem odd, but it equates to 10p for everyday of Dad's life and I hope that it will be possible to raise this. I wish that it could be £1 for each day but that might be asking too much!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to St Ann's Hospice and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you very much for helping to support St Ann's Hospice in memory of a wonderful man!
