For a while I have been looking into taking part in a charity event to help others but to also push myself further then I have before. I was looking for a challenge and wanted to do something I have never done before. Thats when i came across Zero2Hero which was recommened by a friend who took part last year. 

I done some research into what this was about and found that Zero2Hero provide intensive training in just 8 weeks with the end goal to participate in a white collar boxing event. The organisations main focus is to raise as much money as possible for Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund and so far to date they have raised over £64,000 which is incredible! 

Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund is a charity set up in 1992 for children with cancer and their families. They help them financially through Care grants, they provide specialist respite for the children and their families and they also provide an emotional support network for the families. They also support hospitals with children cancer wards by providing specialist equipment, paying for refurbishments and purchasing toys and organising childrens parties. They do so much to help the children and their families at a time when they most need help and support. One in every 600 children in the UK are diagnosed with cancer and the work Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund do really helps these families. All proceeds go to the children and their families and this is something i firmly believe in. 

Cancer is such an awful disease that has effected most people now days but for a child to be diagnosed with cancer and to go through the extensive treatment and emotional turmoil that most adults struggle with is heart breaking. No one should have to suffer but unfortunately we cant change that. What we can do is help these children as much as we can! 

Zero2Hero run charity boxing events to help raise money for Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund. They provide participants with an indepth 8 week boxing training course with experienced coaches to train and prepare them for the main event at the end. The training should cost around £300 per person however this is free. There are also no costs at all to the charity for setting up or running the event. Everything is funded by the donations of our family and friends. So just to clarify, i will be trained and then will take part in a boxing fight! (Wish me luck lol). 

This page has been set up for the generosity of you guys! All money raised on here goes directly to Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund and I want to raise as much as possible! I mean this is why I am taking part in this and getting into the ring! I would really appreciate anything you can spare to help these children and their families. Every little helps and it really does help! 

The main event will be held on Saturday 18th May at The Palace Hotel in Southend and tickets are available if you would like to come and watch - please contact me directly for the tickets. The cost of the tickets funds the event which means there is no cost to the charity. Its a great night and you get to see me and everyone else who is taking part fight for real!

I have never boxed before and I am looking forward to pushing myself physically and emotionally in something completely brand new to me. Hopefully I wont get knocked out on the night but whatever happens, it is all for a good cause!
