Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!

On Sunday 27 September 2009 I will be taking part in the Sony Ericsson Run to the Beat half marathon.

I will be running in aid of the Mental Health Foundation, where I currently volunteer in the events and fundraising department.  Having seen first hand the amazing efforts and commitment of this year's Flora London Marathon team, I was inspired to take part in my own event in order to raise money and awareness of such a worthy cause. I will also be running in memory of my father, David.

.   1 in 4 people will experience some kind of mental health problem in any one year

.   1 in 6 people will experience depression during their lifetime

.   Suicide remains the most common cause of death in men under 35

Your sponsorship will enable the foundation to help people affected by mental illness and those who care for them. For more information about the work of the Mental Health Foundation and where your kind donations will be going please visit www.mentalhealth.org.uk
