Story
I am the least likely person in the world to voluntarily take exercise but when a friend (whose little boy, Cian, was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis shortly after birth) asked me to take part in the Adidas 5k challenge I couldn't say no. I know how much the charity has helped Adele and her family and thousands like them who live with the ongoing challenges of cystic fibrosis. More importantly, the CF Trust is sponsoring research to develop better treatment and a cure, so that children like Cian can live a normal, full and happy life. It's a brilliant cause and every penny helps.
So please, please support me. Given my (non-existent) levels of fitness 5k was more of a marathon-like challenge than it sounds! I made it round the course in 55 minutes at a brisk walk with my mother-in-law for company. Maybe next year I'll manage to jog...!
