Story
In August 2019 I had the pleasure of spending some time with some of the beneficiaries of this charity while on holiday with my family. They help getting us around in Kenya and on the mountain especially when my brother got altitude sickness. We also spent a few days staying with Gilbert (Chairman of Moving Mountains Kenya), who showed us around the Rescue Center and Black Cats Football club.
In the current Coronavirus crisis it is more important than ever to support the Centre and over the next few months I will be doing lots of different activities to try and raise money for them. Firstly, over the next six weeks I will be recreating a Mt Kenya traverse in lockdown - walking 53 km and climbing 4985m on my stairs at home (1720 times). After that I will be thinking of other challenges to raise money.
Thanks for your support.
Moving Mountains in Kenya and Nepal continue to make positive changes to the lives of street children, orphans, slum communities and rural area's through international development projects managed by a team of dedicated staff in-country, many of whom are former street children themselves.
