In a moment of madness I signed myself up for the Edinburgh Marathon. That's right, I'm running 26.2 miles on the 22nd of May, and I would love you to share in my pain by sponsoring me lots of your lovely money! I think you've got the easier deal.

I'm raising money for the Sobell House Hospice. This will be in memory of my cousin Joanne Hinnigan, who spent her last months being cared for in this hospice in 2009, after many painful years fighting breast cancer. She was a remarkable and lovely woman, who smiled through it all, and I would have loved to have known her better.

Please give generously, Sobell House Hospice made Jo and her family very comfortable.
