Ups n Downs is a charity which we have only recently become acquainted with but they have already provided our 18 month old son with regular speech and language therapy sessions. We have heard nothing but wonderful things about the support they have offered many other families and know they will continue to support us throughout our son’s life. 

I had been thinking of ways to raise money for one of our local Down Syndrome charities for a while so when I saw that they were asking for people to walk 21 miles over 7 days I was more than happy to take part (21 is to represent the 21 chromosomes a person with Downs Syndrome has, typically you are born with 20, we are particularly proud of our sons extra 1).

My husband, Luke has decided that we will walk the 21 miles in one day to make it more challenging.

In addition to donating to a worthwhile cause, a prize hamper is up for grabs through entry into a prize draw. I’m offering anyone who donates a chance to win the hamper! £1= 1 entry, £10= 10 entries etc.

The hamper is made up of locally sourced vouchers/gifts plus a few other goodies. A huge thank you to all of the companies and small businesses who have so generously donated their goods and services.
