Story

I’ve been busy walking my feet off for the last two months in preparation for walking the Surrey Three Peaks on Saturday 6th November. Since 1st September amongst school runs, work, after school clubs and dog training I’ve fitted in walking 438 miles and on the day we’ll cover 23 miles over approximately 8 hours covering Box Hill, Leith Hill and Holmbury Hill in Surrey.

I’m raising money for CMV action because long before Covid 19 was a ‘thing’ our lives were changed by another virus that we’d never even heard of. CMV is incredibly common but very unknown. For an adult it can be just like a cold but for an unborn baby the effects can be wide ranging and life-long yet many people won’t even have heard of it. We’d like to support CMV action because they are helping to raise awareness of CMV and also provide advice to parents, which is invaluable when you feel so helpless. I’m hoping this challenge is just the first in many but if you could spare a few pounds then I’d be incredibly grateful.
