Quanta - Raising money for The Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths - UK's leading baby charity.

At Quanta, we are trying to raise as much money as possible for Fsid charity. For those of you who might not of heard about this charity, they are the UK's leading baby charity who are working to prevent unexpected deaths in infants.

All money raised for Fsid helps:

Fund Research
Support Families whose babies have died suddenly and unexpectedly
Pass on information on infant health, baby care and sudden infant deaths to health professionals
Fsid work with professionals to improve investigations when a baby so sadly dies.

 

Who Is running (Jogging, Walking, Crawling!)

Lauren - 'Oh my god I cant believe I have signed up for this! I cant run 6 meters let alone 6 miles!! I'll be the 'gump' strolling behind with a bright red face gasping for breath! (and that’s just getting to the start line!)
This will certainly be a challenge! It is for such a good cause and I just want to thank everyone in advance for donating and supporting us. We do really appreciate it! : )'

Jodie - 'Now this will be a massive challenge for me as I have NEVER run 10K before, not even at the gym, so I need all the encouragement I can get! I asked my partner Graham to sign me up and he has lovingly stated that I will be running in CLOGS…yes that’s right Clogs….I hate to let everyone down but I WILL NOT be running in clogs, Puma trainers instead so I would appreciate NO donations of clogs please just money, money, money. I have decided to run for FSID as I had never heard of the charity before until Lauren approached me about them. I feel that it is extremely important to raise awareness of a charity that has less support than some other the main players as I can not begin to imagine dealing with the loss of a child with little or no support available. So please give generously and help towards the funding of a valuable charity. Many thanks in advance for your support and I promise to post pictures of the sweaty event for your enjoyment!'

Vicky - 'I’m the old gal in this race…..thought my PE days were over! But no no here I am running… for a deserving cause of course.…..sports kit check, Sweat bands check. St Johns on speed dial check check.

Caz – Second year in a row and back I am pounding the streets attempting to run a long distance for a very worthy cause!! Bright red after about 30 seconds and people checking I am not having some form of attack while running are highly likely scenarios for the 11^th July so all the more reason to get your money out!! Really appreciate any penny you can spare!!

 

We are going to be taking part in the 10k run in Hyde park, London in July! Yes thats right, we are running 10k!! It will be a brilliant way to raise some money for Fsid! It will also be quite funny to watch us attempting to run! ( dont worry we will take pictures! )

 

There is also lots of other events coming up that we will hopefully be taking part in so we will keep you all updated!

This charity is quite close to our hearts at Quanta and we will be trying our best to raise as much money as possible to try and help prevent other families having to go through such a sad, distressing tragedy.

 

Support from companies and individuals is key to Fsid's efforts to battle cot death and give all babies the chance of a life time.
