I am raising money for the fantastic organisation that I work for. Self Help service is based in Greater Manchester and the North West and they support the mental health of the local communities by providing therapy, groups, support and e-therapy.

mental health services are under so much pressure to deliver services at cheaper and cheaper a cost due to the lack of funds being made available and being ring fenced for mental health support. Despite accounting for 25% of the disease burden of the country, mental health only accounts for 11% of the funding. This isn't just because of the stigma but the stigma is certainly part.

I hope that by doing some fundraising and running the tough mudder I can get people I know talking and thinking about mental health and services and start to make a small difference to people's mindset
