Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Last October 2010, my dear sister Marie-Rose Garzaniti died of highly agressive stomach cancer. She was only 50 and till then was full of life. In her memory, I am climbing Kilimanjaro alone from 13-23 July 2011. In doing so, I am raising money for cancer research. The charity I have chosen, International Cancer Research selects the best research projects from across the world and helps fund them. I like this charity because it transcends national frontiers and strives to support the brightest research from around the world. These are also aspects that Marie-Rose would have liked.
Your contributions really help. For example
£15 - allows a scientist to measure the activity of a cancer gene
£25 - allows cancer cells to be grown in a lab for a week
£50 - allows measurement of how fast cancer cells spread
£100 - pays for analysis of a new cancer drug
£200 - allows analysis of cells in a tumour sample
£300 - allows a cancer gene to be sequenced.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please donate now. I really appreciate your support.
