I will be celebrating my 90th birthday this year which is mainly possible thanks to the great doctors and nurses who helped me survive a heart attack.  As part of my recovery I was encouraged to exercise and as a result, I started swimming.  Over the past few years I have wanted to give back to show my gratitude to those who made it possible.  Each year I have chosen a different charity to raise awareness and funds for and this year I have chosen Andover Young Carers.  I have recently been made aware of the struggles that local children go through everyday caring for family and relatives and hope that they can experience a little respite and just enjoy being a child, even if this is some temporary time out.
