Why Cancer?... Over this past decade we have watched way too many loved ones battle this unforgiving disease! Both with dignity and strength and we’d like to find strength to complete this challenge in their honour, battle, strength and for some their memory 💛❤💕

Why 108?... The number’s significance is open to interpretation. 108 has long been considered a sacred number in Hinduism and Yoga. Traditionally, malas, or garlands of prayer beads, come as a string of 108 beads. A mala is used for counting as you repeat a traditional Yoga mantra. This number also connects the Sun, Moon, and Earth.

Why EQUINOX?...This is the time of the year when the edge between night and day is perpendicular to the equator, giving us 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness, an energising and momentous time to do our challenge 🌓

About BCRF: this is a nonprofit organization committed to achieving prevention and a cure for breast cancer. They provide critical funding for cancer research worldwide to fuel advances in tumor biology, genetics, prevention, treatment, metastasis and survivorship.
