2 .5 years later than planned (thanks covid), I will finally be trekking up Kilimanjaro.

All monies raised go directly to one of the worthy projects in Tanzania supporting women and children who have suffered violence during their lifetime. Thanks to everyone that has donated so far.

So, turning 40 in 2020 and decided that I needed a challenge. The opportunity to trek Mount Kilimanjaro whilst raising funds for ActionAid was too good an opportunity to miss.

100% of the money raised will be going towards a project in North Zanzibar helping to address violence against women and children which is reaching epidemic levels in Zanzibar with 2/5 experiencing violence in their lifetime.

ActionAid Tanzania have built a women's shelter where victims can go to talk about what has happened to them and seek some justice through legal support etc and is now being funded by government.  Through the shelter, ActionAid identified the need to address root causes of violence which will have a long-term sustainable impact and create lasting change for the community.  This is where the funding raised in Guernsey will assist.
