Do you like to walk, jog, run, cycle, skate? Come join our team in an effort to collectively cover the distance between London and Bucharest in a month (1300 miles) and help us get to our target of £2000.

Story

We adopted Bonnie from the most incredible rescue in Romania who, despite nobody wanting to adopt her, looked after for her for 4 years after rescuing her from the streets.

Welfare record for domestic animals in Romania is appalling. Dogs in particular, but also cats are deliberately ignored, poisoned, run over, kicked, beaten, starved and dumped in the countryside miles from nowhere. A good proportion of the strays that do become pets are kept in a yard (either roaming free or tied to a chain) or in flats, and are not given proper exercise or socialisation. Very few are neutered - so it will probably come as no surprise that the resources needed to rescue and manage the stray population vastly outnumber the resources available to volunteers like us who want to make a difference. I'm taking part in this challenge to raise both funds and awareness - can you help me make a difference where it matters?
