Story

Hello

Welcome to my JustGiving page.

I am about to fulfill a dream held since childhood to work in an African village in Malawi and to give help to babies and small children orphaned by AIDS.

However, I realised I was far too fat and unfit to undertake this trip and to do any sort of physical work under a hot African sun was totally beyond me, so knew I needed to lose a significant amount of weight but realised I could use the weight loss as a way of raising much needed funds for the Open Arms Infant Homes in Mangochi and Blantyre - both of which we (my husband Lloyd and I) will be visiting in September.

I began dieting with Weight Watchers a year ago and hoped to lose 4 stones in weight................ and today (16th August), I did it - one year and 2 weeks after starting!!

Your donations could help to buy much needed mosquito nets, medicines, food or other provisions and equipment for the children but whatever are their most pressing needs, the money you donate will be wisely spent.  The Infant Homes do depend on donations greatly to be able to continue their work.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Thanks everso

Cheers

Linz
