Well try as I might I have not been able to dissuade the wonderful Lynne Marlow from doing this. Lynne has been one of our main volunteers now since Greyhound Gap first came into existance, transporting, fundraising, homevisiting and fostering and now this! Lynne approached me mid June 2015 and said that for years she has been thinking of shaving her head to help Greyhound Gap raise money for the general funds BUT her husband Colin who is normally the looser cannon of the two really was anti it....... and who can blame him!! Lynne has fantastic hair! However not one to be put off Lynne has persevered and now really wants to do this to help us to continue helping the dogs in our care. I think anyone will agree that this is a massive undertaking for ANY female with lovely long hair and we are so proud of Lynne for doing this. The head shave will take place on Sunday 26th July at Queens Park Longton where we will already be in attendance with our fundraising stall. The organisers of the event are very good friends of Greyhound Gap and always show us continued support and we can not thank the enough. Clint Hughes of Clints Barbers local to us here in Stoke on Trent who is a long time friend of my own has kindly agreed to donate his time to do the dreaded deed! I really hope everyone gets behind Lynne and supports her and donates as I think you will all agree this is a VERY brave and selfless thing to be doing by a very brave and selfless lady. Lynne as much as I really wish I could have talked you out of this I can not thank you enough and am more than proud to call you a friend to not only myself, the rescue but most definitely the dogs.
