In February 2020 I will be taking a Gloucestershire Girls Team out to India for a once-in-a-lifetime experience to play cricket in Jaipur and Delhi. The tour will provide a brilliant opportunity for the young players to experience different cultures, climates and conditions in a wonderfully vibrant, cricket-mad country. 

The squad will also be collecting cricket equipment and kit to provide to underprivileged children whilst in India, to ensure they too get the opportunity to fulfill their potential. 

To raise funds for the trip, the whole tour party (including the staff!) are doing a sponsored run from the Raj Mahal restaurant in Stapleton (Bristol) to the Taj Mahal in Agra! This works out as 65 miles each - we will be plotting our progress on a world map each month, to see how far we have travelled!  

It's fair to say that for lots of the tour party, running is not a highlight! So pounding the streets in the cold / dark / wet is going to be a challenge!
