Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit Lorna and Cath's fund-raising page. This year we have chosen the Children's Heart Foundation as our nominated charity.
As a number of you will know, Lorna's son, Daniel (in the photos), was born with a number of complicated
congenital heart defects. Aged 3 and a half he has already
undergone surgery 3 times, and sometime before he starts school next
September he will need complicated open heart surgery in the hope that
the various defects can be corrected.
The Childrens Heart Federation is dedicated to helping children with
congenital or acquired heart disease and their families in the UK and
Ireland. It is a parent-led charity consisting of 22 organisations, all
of which are registered charities whose main aim is to support the
families of children with heart conditions and improve the quality of
life of children living with congenital and acquired heart
disease. One of these organisations is The Brompton Fountain,
which is based at The Royal Brompton and Chelsea Hospital, where Daniel
is being looked after. You can find our more information at

As most of you probably know, we both dislike running long distances very much so please give generously - it'll help with the acute pain that's now a common side effect of this activity!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
