Story

We did it!  We ran the Fleet half marathon (13.2 miles) in a little over 2 hours.  Thank you for all your support and sponsors.

On 21st March Vanessa Viner and Lorraine Boberg, two Shottermill Junior School parents, will be running a half marathon and raising money towards the Shottermill Arts Studio.

The current Arts Studio is a valuable space in which the children can work to develop their creative skills and abilities in addition to expressing their personalities in ways which they sometimes cannot do in a conventional classroom situation.
It is currently used for:
   - Art and music lessons with specialist teachers
   - Central storage for the materials and resources for these subjects.
   - Fun After 3, a local non-profit making charitable organisation who provide childcare to local children

from 3.10 to 6pm.

Sadly, the old arts block has come to the end of its time. So we are currently trying to raise funds to help create a purpose built Arts Centre that will last a life-time and be an invaluable resource for the whole community.

After much training (Lorraine & Vanessa have been seen running in various different locations including Liphook, Beacon Hill , Grayshott and Grayswood), they are now in the final stages, which includes ‘running a bit more, eating lots of pasta, and drinking less red wine!’

The marathon takes place in Fleet at 11.30 on Sunday 21st March. If you would like to support the ladies, please use this JustGiving page.

Thank you in advance for your support, we will let you know how they get on.
