Story
I am running the Manchester marathon in support of StreetDoctors. They are a charity that empowers young people affected by violence to keep themselves and others safe. With two sessions around what to do if someone is bleeding or if someone is knocked out, StreetDoctors aims to equip young people with the skills and knowledge to administer lifesaving first aid. It is StreetDoctors vision to end violence to young people by making those affected part of the solution.
I have been a StreetDoctors volunteer for the last 3 years, and have seen first hand the impact teaching can have for young people. The staff and volunteers who work with StreetDoctors are commited, hard working and compassionate. Any money donated will help the charity to keep delivering training and putting young people front and centre in tackling violence.
More information on StreetDoctors can be found at streetdoctors.org.
I have set myself the target of running the marathon in under 3 hours and 30 minutes, your donations will help to push me through the last month of my training and keep my legs moving through those 26.2 miles!!
Please give generously and help end youth violence.
