This year a friend of mines life changed forever on the 15th of January. Her husband who was also a loving father, and always lived life to the full decided to take his own life. It was a complete shock, and just shows how mental health can take control.

Sadly male suicide is the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK.

Mental health is a growing concern, and by doing this I can only hope to raise more awareness and let everyone especially the men in our lives know that it's ok to talk and that there are services out there that we can access.  Nothing can be harder than fighting with yourself every day.

So on the 21st of April I will be doing the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge in 1 day (24 miles), for a charity chosen by friend who continues to inspire me by living everyday to the full for the sake of her daughter and continues to make sure that they remember her husband as the fun loving man that he was.

We all have those mountains to climb but some it's harder.
