Fundraising for Dementia Adventure
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.We are taking part in this crazy, hopefully fun challenge, as we work and see the affect this cruel disease has on our patients, their families and even our own families and loved ones.
We see the benefits and the support Dementia Adventure provides for people with dementia and their families.
Dementia Adventure is a registered charity that is dedicated to supporting people to live well with dementia and have a sense of adventure in their lives. We believe in the benefits to be gained from regular, active engagement with the natural world.
We are committed to growing a charity that will enable people living with dementia and their carers to continue to live full, satisfying lives through access to the outdoors and nature. By raising funds we are able to assist in underwriting the cost of the supported holidays and short breaks so that more people, particularly those with limited means, can access the benefits. We are very pleased to have the support of players of People's Postcode Lottery.
Through our training and consultancy services we work with other organisations to help equip them with the evidence, practical skills and confidence to give people greater choices and live better with dementia.
