We empower families with Alport Syndrome to enjoy the best possible quality of life

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page

Harry and I have signed up to take part in the Great Manchester Run in order to raise money for Alport U.K. This amazing charity provides support to those diagnosed with the rare condition and also funds research into discovering a cure.

As a fairly average (at best) jogger, it will certainly be a challenge and I’m sure a year of deliveroo’s will slow me down but it is such a fantastic cause which is close to our hearts.  We know that money is a bit tight for everyone this year so please donate if you can- or donate blister plasters!

“Alport syndrome is an inherited illness which is characterized by progressive kidney damage, hearing problems, and eye abnormalities. There is currently no cure for Alport syndrome and treatments are limited, but research is ongoing and various therapies are used to help patients manage its symptoms.”

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
