Both the hospice and I are very grateful for your contributions - perhaps I can persuade some to do the walk with me next year!  Pink fluffy bunny ears anyone?

Despite a few blisters, I completed 10 miles in three and a half hours last night - thank you to all who sponsored me - you kept me going!

Somewhere along the way I've got confused about what a good night out actually means and I have chosen to participate in the midnight 10 mile walk round Gloucester to raise money for the Cotswold Care Hospice.  The hospice does fantastic work in supporting those who have a life-limiting illness and has to raise its own funds in order to keep going.

The work that the hospice does has extra resonance as one of my closest friends was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year.  Whilst my friend has come through the first two stages of her treatment, I realise that for some, the outcome is not so positive.  It really has made me think about how lucky I am to have my family, my friends and my health.

Whilst I am currently doubting my sanity, I will appreciate all contributions to a very worthwhile cause.
