Story
As you know I was diagnosed with lupus (SLE) recently, and luckily I'm now feeling much better, thanks to effective treatment and the medical team who look after me.
October is Lupus Awareness month, and I'm taking part in 'Go That Extra Mile for Lupus' along with some of my fellow lupus suffers, family and friends, on Sunday 17th October.
I know that a walk does not seem like such an achievement for an ex-triathlete, but lupus has impacted on my energy levels and my ability to do exercise in the way I used to. During the past 12 months walking has, at times, been a challenge!
All monies will go to Lupus UK, the only national registered charity supporting people with systemic lupus and discoid lupus and assisting those approaching diagnosis.
