At the end of September, Dave and Andrew are trekking up Kilimanjaro for both the challenge and for charity.  According to Wikipedia only 40% of those that attempt the challenge actually reach the highest summit, so it won't be easy!

We have decided to do this trek for both Cancer Research UK (this page) and the British Red Cross (www.justgiving.com/Macarthurs-Take-On-Kilimanjaro).  Choose whichever you prefer (or both!)

The reason we have chosen Cancer Research UK is because of the family and friends that we have seen affected by this terrible disease.  The work that this charity has done has saved millions of lives by discovering ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer.  They rely entirely upon the public for donations and so anything we can give to them will be much appreciated and help them keep up their great work.
