At the end of September, Dave and Andrew are trekking up Kilimanjaro for both the challenge and for charity.  According to Wikipedia only 40% of those that attempt the challenge actually reach the highest summit, so it won't be easy!

We have decided to do this trek for both British Red Cross (this page) and the Cancer Research UK (www.justgiving.com/Macarthurs-do-Kilimanjaro).  Choose whichever you prefer (or both!)

The reason we have chosen the British Red Cross is that we want some of our donations to go towards those in need both in Africa and the rest of the world.  The volunteers that help the charity use donations for many different things including: food, water, illness treatment, training first aiders and equipment.  Anything we can raise for this charity really will make a difference to people.
