Story
In September this year I will be taking part in the Castle Triathlon Series for
teens aged 13-15 at Hever Castle, in Kent. That's a 300 metre swim in
a lake, an 8 km cycle and a 2.4 km run. I will be fundraising for
Surfers Against Sewage. They call plastic pollution on our beaches
and in the sea, the 'new sewage', and all their work is about
tackling this huge problem. As a novice surfer I have seen for myself the pollution in the sea and on beaches in Cornwall, Dorset and Morocco. I recall surfing on one
beach and crashing into a two litre plastic milk carton. Come to think of it, I have never seen a beach that was completely flawless and I want to help make a difference. I have never done anything like this before, so despite the fact that I'm definitely excited, it will certainly be a challenge. Any donation you can make would mean so much to me, as I aim to raise a minimum of £500 for SAS, in continuing their fantastic work.
