Magenta ( Year 6 ) have decided to set up this page, having been inspired by the efforts of other young people, to help the children in Haiti and in other disaster stricken areas around the world. For this reason they chose the DEC as their charity as they felt it was the best all round charity, getting the best aid directly to the places that need it!

To help, the class voted and decided that they would like to undertake a challenge! A sponsored 6k relay!

In teams of five, they are going to cycle, scooter, skateboard, run and travel in other entertaining ways a distance of 1k. This means that as a class they will cover 6k!

The class have been discussing startegy fervently, working out the distances, planning their routes and obstacles and measuring the playground in preparation !

The event will take place soon after half term (date to be announced) so please support them and their tremendous effort by helping them to reach their ambitious target.

 

For those of you with access, you can see the photos and video of the event on the Amy Johnson MLE as soon as the ICT prefects have taken them and loaded them up!
