Story

My brave 6 year old daughter - Maiya,  is currently suffering with Alopecia Areata (AA).

Maiya has been suffering with the condition since April 2015 and in December 2015 Maiya finally lost all of her hair. Even though she is very young, she has the strength and fight of 'a thousand warriors' and she doesn't let her condition drag her down.
She keeps positive, is always smiling and every room she enters is filled with loud echo's of her super infectious laughter.

What is Alopecia?

Alopecia is a hair loss disease that affects men, women and children. Although not damaging to physical health, hair loss can have severe effects on quality of life and emotional health through its impact on confidence and self-esteem
