Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I didn't send it to you before I did this walk as I fully expected to have to pull out before the start.

I have now though had the privilege to spend three great days and nights and 83 miles with with some lovely people for whom I have great respect and admiration.

This walk turned out to be as arduous a task as I have encountered, but I am left with a sense of achievement in completing it for such a worthy cause-and this is why. I was struggling up a particularly steep part of the wall with Scott, Trevor, Jo, and Steve Barron the walk leader. I was complaining about how tough it was in such hot and humid conditions to Steve, and he replied to me 'I agree Mal, and just imagine if like our lads in Afganistan you were also under fire, or perhaps having to carry a wounded mate, or wounded yourself'. This comment put it all in to perspective for me.

Our soldiers are making sacrifices for a good cause, and that cause ultimately is us. So lets see if we can help the ones who don't make it back intact.
