MALC STAPLETON FINISHES IN 3HR 33MINS 23
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As you are probably aware the marathon is 26.2 miles.
It is very difficult to gain entry to this prestigious event. To do so I have pledged to raise £1500 for my nominated, and much deserving, charity. To raise this amount is no mean feat, let alone run the miles. I would like your help to enable me to succeed. I have been running, albeit not competitively since a young age. However at 46 yrs old, now a veteran to running, this will only be my third attempt at the marathon distance. The “Chesterfield Marathon” was the first when I was 17, my second 2 years ago at the Nottingham Feast of Running in 2008 when I finished in a time of 4hrs 15mins. For the “Virgin2010 London marathon” I have set a personnel target of a sub 4hr finish time. My nominated charity for the London Marathon is “Fight for sight”. This charity helps with the prevention of blindness and serious eye disease.
