Hi Everybody;

First off; a BIG thanks to those who made the effort to give some money to a worthy cause. It matters not that the initial target hasn't been reached. More the point is that the Macmillan trust is now a few hundred pound better off than before and this will buy some vital support services.

And as to the race in Marrakech, well I missed my planned target time of 1hr 30 mins by some margin, due largely to suffering from a cold which manifested itself two days before arriving in Morocco. Playing the cautious card, I started off well back and at a sedate pace, which soon became apparent, was too sedate. So, I spent the majority of the race carving my way through what seemed hundreds of other competitors, and unusually for me, finishing stronger than I had started out. So, sorry to my fan club for under-achieving on this particular day. I can assure you that normal kick-ass running will be resumed on the 7th March in the Blagnac half-marathon, taking place just near Toulouse airport.
